QJ Wang: A leader in water forecasting and prediction

Quan Jun (QJ) Wang leads the Water Prediction and Forecasting Stream of the Water for a Healthy Country Flagship’s Integrated Water Information Systems.

QJ joined CSIRO in May 2007 as an Office of the Chief Executive (OCE) Science Leader, which brings to CSIRO high-performing scientists from around the world with between five and ten years post doctoral experience.

QJ graduated in 1984 from the prestigious Tsinghua University with a Graduate of Excellence award. He completed his Master of Science and PhD studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He was a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne before taking up the position of Principal Scientist at the Victorian Department of Natural Resources and Environment in 1999.
