New CSIRO Web Resources

CSIRO Land and Water has launched several new websites that it is hosting in the interests of scientific collaboration and delivery of innovative options for land and water management. These include:

• Heartlands website
  a showcase for scientific and community collaboration aimed at improving land use in the Murray-Darling Basin.
• National Cadmium Minimisation Strategy
  a website hosted on behalf of the Primary Industries Standing Committee (formerly the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Resource Management - SCARM) as part of the strategy to maintain safe levels of cadmium in Australian agricultural soils and produce.
• OzFlux website
  the Australian and New Zealand gateway for a global network of over 150 sites where exchanges of carbon dioxide, water vapour, and energy between terrestrial ecosystem and atmosphere are measured continuously over long periods.

New online resources have also been assembled to highlight the important issue of Water Reclamation.

CSIRO Land and Water Image Gallery now offers more than 1500 environmental images.

Publications - all CSIRO Land and Water Technical Reports and most public client reports from 1997 have been e-published as PDFs and are searchable online through our publications database.
