CSIRO Land and Water also owns intellectual property (IP) suitable for developing into innovative commercial products and processes by existing companies. Generally arrangements are made for companies to use the IP under license, but in some cases CSIRO Land and Water may be willing to sell the IP. Depending on the circumstances, CSIRO may consider entering into commercial joint venture arrangements.

The following technologies have been developed by CSIRO Land and Water. Some are licensed to partners for commercialisation:
