With the various programs and many ideas resulting from this research activity, the NAIF, Tropical Rivers Inventory & Assessment Project (TRIAP), Charles Darwin University and NT Natural Resources Environment and the Arts (NRETA) researchers working in this area realised there is a need to communicate with each other regarding their research and examine ways of increasing efficiencies in research effort. The mechanism for achieving this is to have regular meetings of key project leaders in the major tropical rivers projects. The regular meetings are designed to share knowledge, ensure relevant linkages between projects are built through regular communication, and to minimise duplication. One key aspect that the meetings will address, is the coordinated approach by the various projects in engaging stakeholders. A summary of the meetings will be posted on relevant websites to inform the wider community of the outcomes. Further information about the various projects can be found at the following web links: TRIAP: http://www.environment.gov.au/ssd/tropical-rivers/index.html Meeting MinutesCross Project Discussion Group meetings have initially commenced on a monthly basis. This will extend to quarterly meetings in due course. Files are PDF, approximately 70 kB
