LBI Coordination Workshop 2002
The second LBI coordination workshop was held in Townsville on 26 March 2002. Approximately 60 people participated, representing industry, government, research and community groups.
Presentations were well received with positive interactions and information sharing occurring between participants. The workshop generated attention from several media outlets, which highlighted the aims and achievements of the LBI. A key message was that "by working together to understand how the lower Burdekin water systems function, we can develop water management strategies that everyone understands and is keen to implement.
