Water Resource Management in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam: Current challenges and the impacts of climate change by Dr Nguyen Hieu Trung, Can Tho University, Vietnam

Nguyen Hieu Trung's research interest is water management in the Mekong Delta. His research has focussed on understanding and adapting to the impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity and urban infrastructure. Dr Trung is currently working as a research partner on the CSIRO Climate Adaptation Flagship projects supported by the AusAID-CSIRO Alliance: Climate Adaptation through Sustainable Urban Development: Case study on urban water infrastructure in Can Tho, Vietnam; and Mekong Region Futures.

Dr Trung has been Dean of Can Tho University's College of Environment and Natural Resources since 2007 and has been the Deputy Director the University's DRAGON Research Institute for Climate Change since 2008. Dr Trung has a doctorate from Wageningen University in the Netherlands
