Griffith Laboratory Accommodation Centre

The Griffith Accommodation Centre was opened in 1987 and provides short and medium term accommodation to visitors, students and short term staff.

The Accommodation Centre is located in the grounds of the laboratory, approximately 5kms from the centre of Griffith.

Rooms and Facilities

There are three single rooms, two twin rooms and a self contained flat that sleeps two. If required the flat can be combined, by use of an interconnecting door, with one of the twin rooms creating a two bedroom apartment. All linen is provided and all rooms have their own bathrooms.

The flat has it's own living room and kitchen. All other rooms are serviced by the Common Room. The Common Room includes a large fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, dining area and living area with TV and video.

Overnight guests are provided with a light breakfast of cereal, juice, toast and coffee or tea. Supplies are left in the Common Room.

All rooms have heating and cooling. Each room has it's own direct dial phone [no STD access] and computer modem point. A clock radio is also provided.

Laundry facilities are available to all guests. Including an automatic washing machine, dryer and iron with ironing board.

Room Rates

Use of fold up bed - $15 per night with breakfast, $12 per night without breakfast

Room Access

Access to rooms is via digital door lock. Your access code will be provided to you either at the time of booking or upon arrival.

The Common Room and Laundry are accessed via keys which are located on a hook inside each of the rooms.

Payment Methods

There are three methods of payment :

1. Cash
2. Cheque made payable to ‘The Collector of Public Moneys’
3. Journal Entry (available only to CSIRO staff - please advise Project Number upon arrival)
