WIRADA Science Symposium
1–5 August 2011, Melbourne, Australia
Proceedings
All speakers at the WIRADA Science Symposium are requested to write peer-reviewed papers (up to 6 pages). These will be compiled into a publication which will be publically available by the end of 2011.
There are several types of papers which will be written by the different types of speakers (see Program):
- Speakers will provide one of three types of session papers, which will be written before the Symposium and will be made available to all attendees in advance on a non-public website:
- Keynote speakers have the option of providing keynote papers which summarise their presentations, which are intended to stimulate and expand attendees' thinking about research.
- Invited speakers will write opening papers which summarise the topic discussed in their session, plus their own relevant research.
- WIRADA speakers will write WIRADA papers about their research.
- Chairs of sessions will write synthesis papers which summarise the discussion which follows each session. These will – by necessity – be written after the Symposium.
In addition, WIRADA researchers who are not speaking are invited to present a poster. The Symposium publication will include poster abstracts – but not the full poster.
