WIRADA Science Symposium
1–5 August 2011, Melbourne, Australia

Abstracts

Abstracts are required for all session papers and posters (but not for synthesis papers).

After abstracts have been submitted on 31 March 2011, they will be made available to other Symposium attendees on a non-public website. Authors are encouraged to read other authors’ abstracts to assist in defining the scope and context of their own papers.

The abstract that authors provide in the draft paper (on 15 June 2011) will supercede the abstract provided on 31 March 2011. While minor changes are acceptable, please do not alter the abstract substantively in the paper.

All papers (including abstracts) will be published in the peer-reviewed publication which will be available on a public website by December 2011. The publication will include poster abstracts – but not the full poster.

Abstract submission

All abstracts for the WIRADA Science Symposium must be submitted via this website by completing the online submission form and attaching the file as a MS Word 2003 .doc file as per the layout guidelines below and instructions in the template itself.

  • Download the abstract template (Word, 61 kb).
  • Complete the abstract by 31 March 2011 as per the instructions in Layout below and the template itself. Hint: if you are copying from a different file, ensure that you 'Match Destination Formatting' when pasting.
  • Rename the file as ‘Lastname_Firstname_Abstract.doc’ (e.g. ‘Smith_John_Abstract.doc’).
  • Upload the document using the online submission form. The file will be attached in the final field of the online form.

Deadline

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 31 March 2011.
